Welcome to TillPoint

TillPoint is a point of sale and back office for bars and restaurants. Waiters take orders at tables and named tabs, the kitchen sees what to prepare, cashiers settle bills by cash, M-Pesa or card machine, and managers follow sales, stock, buying and staff from one place.

Every sale, payment, stock movement and approval is tied to the person who did it. That is why each member of staff has their own PIN, and why nobody should share one.

There are two ways to use TillPoint, and they suit different devices.

Management sign-in Shared terminal
Who Owners, admins, managers and payroll officers All staff, including waiters, cashiers and kitchen staff

A shared terminal has to be activated once by an owner, admin or manager. After that it sits on a locked screen, ready for the next person to enter their PIN.

See Signing in and terminals for both routes, and Roles and permissions for what each role can see and do.

The menu on the left of TillPoint only shows the pages your role can use. If a guide describes a page you cannot see, your role does not include it. Ask an owner or manager if your responsibilities have changed.
